For 2008, the Nissan Titan full-size pickup gets a revised front end, a new Long Wheelbase (LWB) version, and off-road oriented PRO-4X model featuring 18-inch aluminum-alloy wheels with 275/70R18 off-road tires and performance gas shocks. Inside, the Titan features a new seat design and refined meter clusters.
The 2008 Nissan Titan is now offered in four models - XE, SE, PRO-4X and LE -, two body styles - King Cab and Crew Cab -, 4x2 and 4x4 drive configurations, four bed sizes - 5’5”, 6’5”, 7’ and 8’ -, and in with Flexible Fuel Vehicle (FFV) capability (E85 Ethanol).
Other 2008 Titan enhancements include available Bluetooth Hands-Free Phone System, XM™ Satellite Radio tuner, heated leather-appointed bench seat, a revised center stack and a larger, 8.0-inch DVD screen (up from 7.0-inch). Two new exterior colors – Desert Stone and Timberline – are now available.
The Nissan Titan is built on Nissan’s rugged F-Alpha pickup platform, featuring a powerful 5.6-liter DOHC Endurance V8 rated at 317 horsepower and 385 lb-ft torque. Titan features a standard 5-speed automatic transmission and a maximum towing capacity of up to 9,500 pounds for King Cab and 9,400 pounds for Crew Cab (when properly equipped). The Nissan Titan is available in King Cab and Crew Cab body configurations with a choice of 2WD and 4WD.
The 2008 Nissan Titan continues to boast innovative features such as Wide-Open rear doors (King Cab) that open 168 degrees for nearly unlimited interior access, a high-utility bed that includes an industry-first factory-applied spray-on bedliner, a Utili-track tie-down system that provides ultimate cargo hauling flexibility and an integrated, lockable bedside storage compartment.
